Training
Species360 provides free, comprehensive training to help members use the Zoological Information Management System (ZIMS) to improve animal care and welfare and collections management.
In 2020, we expanded our virtual training opportunities and added ZIMS features to better support members working remotely. Included, free monthly webinars on various ZIMS topics, which are recorded and available for online viewing at any time.
We have continued to expand the integrated help tool in ZIMS, to help users as they are navigating ZIMS, pulling new reports, and entering records.
ZIMS Help Menu: Interactive help, training documents, recorded webinars and the schedule of upcoming events are easy to access in the ZIMS Help Menu when members login.

News and Updates: While not comprehensive, we cover some of the highlights and updates regarding global Species360 Training resources at the Species360 blog.
Additionally, we support regional association training opportunities such as the AZA Institutional Records Keeping course, EAZA Population Management courses, European Association of Zoo and Wildlife Veterinarians, and the EU Keeper Competency Framework, as well as the annual ZRA Conference Trainings) and dozens of technical programs, colleges and university courses with ZIMS built in via our Teaching Partnership program.
