New Species360 member Teton Raptor Center expanded their mission to include a Raptor Rescue Network that coordinates the efforts of Rehab Centers, Wyoming Game and Fish Department, veterinarians, and volunteers to ensure that every injured raptor has access to rehabilitation.
Our aquatics community continues to grow, enabling aquariums to curate and share data essential to animal welfare and species conservation. Twenty aquariums worldwide joined Species360 in 2019 and 2020.
In the past two years, ten leading JAZA members have joined Species360, including, in 2020, Asa Zoological Park (Hiroshima), Kyoto Zoo, Nagoya Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens, Ube Shi Tokiwa Zoo Foundation, and Toyohashi Zoo and Botanical Park.
The Species360 member community continues to grow. In 2020, we have welcomed more than 60 new members in over 24 different countries. Among them are national marine aquariums in Brazil and UAE, marine and wildlife sanctuaries, rescue and rehabilitation, conservation, and research institutions.
Over 350 aquariums, and zoos with aquatic collections, curate and share vital animal data as part of Species360. In all, the Species360 member community is comprised of more than 1,200 wildlife institutions in 100 countries.
