Our aquatics community continues to grow, enabling aquariums to curate and share data essential to animal welfare and species conservation. Twenty aquariums worldwide joined Species360 in 2019 and 2020.
The Species360 member community continues to grow. In 2020, we have welcomed more than 60 new members in over 24 different countries. Among them are national marine aquariums in Brazil and UAE, marine and wildlife sanctuaries, rescue and rehabilitation, conservation, and research institutions.
Species360 research partners use ZIMS data to discover new insights. Among the participants in the research partner program are University of California at Berkeley and UC Davis (United States), University of Navarro (Spain), Babes Bolyai University (Romania), Murdoch University (Australia), and Royal Agriculture University (England).
As a Research Partner, Fort Worth Zoo gains access to aggregated, anonymous data needed to better understand medical norms, animal care and welfare best practices, and more. These insights are made possible by Species360 members who curate and share data on the individual animals and collections in their care.
